~11 Months~

Hip Hip Hooray...my first birthday is a month away!!!  Can you believe it?  I am pretty sure it makes my mommy happy and sad (is that possible?)
~ I weigh 16# 12oz
~ I am using up all of my size 2's and then mommy says we can just wear 3 diapers.
~ My clothes size has remained the same for several months...no changes.

~ I am eating like a champ...they can't feed me fast enough.  3 meals, 2 snacks, and 2 drinks from mom.
~ I am not standing on my own yet, just content holding on to things.

~ I got my first birthday present already, and it is my FAVORITE toy right now.
~ I got another tooth..we are at 5 now.

~ I love playing peek-a-boo.
~ Bath time is one of my favorite times of the day.

~ "Bath," "more," and "ball" are words that I have tried really hard to pronounce.  I say a lot of other things too, but no one can figure out what I am talking about!

~ I have been a little monkey lately, trying to climb anything that I can. (and eating my bananas!)

~ I really have been wanting only my mommy lately.
~ I love cats and horses...they make me laugh.

~ We went to my first red-neck convention (the combine demolition derby!!)

~ These two pics are the result of my first day in the garage with daddy...notice my dirty feet and knees!

~ I love being chased around things. I love being on the go!

~ Yes I know, I am the cutest little guy you have ever seen!!!

~kisses for bubby, kisses for baby~

shake it baby, shake

Cayden loves to "shake it." I have to say that it is so much cuter in person. He really goes to town shaking it, but with the camera around, he pays more attention to it. Nonetheless, the video is cute!

Catch me if you can!

Cayden is getting around very welll...and he is quick!  (Yes, that is Jesse in the background of the last pic, they were chasing each other around the island in our kitchen.)

Cayden steals our hearts a little more everyday.  He was extremely tired after church and running errands today, so I was feeding him some food in the car in hopes that he would fall asleep on the way home and stay asleep for a few hours.  He looked up at me and for the first time said "momma, mom."  Tears welled up in my eyes, I have been waiting for this moment for years.  Thank you God for this blessing of life!  Dadda and bubba are in his vocabulary as well.  I like to think that bubba is for Braxton...everytime he says it, I show him a picture of his bubba!!

~ I am an absolute heart-throb (mommy says so!)
~ I get super excited when daddy gets home from work.

~ I am pulling myself up to everything.

~ I learned how to open cabinet doors...watch out mommy.
~ I have to be moving all the time....I keep my mommy busy!

~ I went camping and swimming a few times this month.
~ I got my first bad cough/congestion.
~ I have two top teeth coming through...one middle and one on the side!
~ I started waving, clapping, and shaking my head "no,no."

~ I know daddy and mommy miss my brother...and I do too!

~I got to help mommy and daddy present Braxton's award at the county fair!

~Mommy had to have our picture...I was being cuddly.

~ I love to eat dog food, play in dog kennels, and chew on dog bones... I just want to be a dog!
(Daddy and mommy are totally against this idea...in fact they don't like my habits AT ALL)

~ I love John Deere Tractors, just like daddy!
~ I am approximately 15# 7oz, 25 3//4 in.
~ Still wear size 2 diapers and 3's at night.
~ Eating schedule is still the same!  I love fresh watermelon and melon.

Ok, I think I hit on just about everything...stay tuned for more monthly updates!!!

~this year's fair was different~

This year's county fair was different.  The past two years, were not what I had ever dreamed of.  Two years ago, the wound was fresh, and seeing newborns in strollers brought me to tears.  I was supposed to be the one with a new baby.  I was supposed to have the little boy in bibs that everyone couldn't get enough of.  Last year, I was pregnant, but I still didn't have that baby in my arms.  This year was different!  I insisted that we go each night....just so I could push around a stroller with MY BABY!  I think I just made laps around the coliseum just so others could see us.  Cayden enjoyed it too.  He really liked the sheep, but the cows were scary.  The pigs were funny.  I dressed him in nothing but bibs, and he was the cutest little guy around.   Wednesday night was a really late night, because we stayed to present Braxton's Award.  I insisted that they said "The award will be presented by his parents and his BABY BROTHER!"  It saddened me that this is really the only thing that we can "do" for Braxton, but it made me happy that I had a baby with me to present it.  Giving the award this year was different!  Thank you Lord for sharing Cayden with us!  He is a true blessing from above.

Meet my new friend Jett.

"I wasn't quite sure about the cows, but the sheep were ok."

"I really wanted to play with Samuel, but he wasn't to sure about me!  I can be kinda wild!"

One happy family!
